Bedford Resident Locked Out of Own Apartment Leads to Felony Arrest; Woman Accused of Resisting Officers

A call regarding a persistent verbal argument at a K Street apartment resulted in multiple criminal allegations Monday morning after a woman reportedly locked a resident out of his own home and engaged in a physical struggle with responding officers.

At approximately 8:51 a.m. on May 4, 2026, Bedford Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of K Street. Upon arrival, Officer Steven Hatton Jr. was met by a resident who reported he had been locked out of his apartment by 34-year-old Kyle L. Laws.
