Bedford Fire Department Update: House Fire on I St and Engine 1 Traffic Incident
The Bedford Fire Department has provided official details regarding two incidents that occurred last night:
Structure Fire at 2218 I St: Crews were dispatched at 8:32 PM to a reported house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered visible smoke coming from the property. Crews successfully extinguished the fire within approximately 20 minutes and remained on scene for about two hours conducting salvage and overhaul operations before returning to service.
Vehicle Incident at 24th & H St: While returning to the station from the I Street fire, Bedford Fire Department's Engine 1 was involved in a property damage accident at 24th and H Street. No injuries were reported, and the Bedford Police Department responded to the scene to handle the investigation per standard protocol.
